Menopause

Peri menopause and menopause symptoms affect 85% of people who have or had periods and can vary from mild to severe. Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being wants to better understand the impact of this normal but sometimes difficult transition on the well-being of UC Davis employees and potentially identify ways to support them to improve quality of life.

Embracing the Change: Menopause Webinar Part 1, 2 & 3

In this 3-part series, Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being provides an overview of peri-menopause, menopause, and post-menopause. In part 2, Dr. Elaine Waetjen of UC Davis Health covers common themes and questions such as diagnosing menopause, symptoms, and navigating medical care. Part 3 discusses how you can use specific types of exercise and nutrition to counteract the changes that occur as you travel through your menopausal journey. The session will also cover supplements, from vitamins and minerals to herbal and protein supplements.
