- Radioactive Material Safety Training

After completing this training course, you will be a trained radiation worker and eligible to be added onto a Radiation Use Authorization. It is required to complete both training courses listed below under “Step 1” and “Step 2”. Once completed with the “Step 2” in-person training, you will receive instructions on how to be added onto your lab’s Radiation Use Authorization.
Step 1 (Online Course):

Step 2 (In-person Course):

- Radioactive Material Refresher Training

Radioactive Material Refresher Training is due once every three years after completing the initial Radioactive Material Safety Training listed above. This link takes you to the training page specific to the in-person radiation safety class. At the bottom of the page, there will be a green “Register” link that will take you to the LMS system. Officially register for the class through this LMS system.
- X-Ray Safety Training (Analytical Equipment)

Step 1:
Radiation Safety for Users of Radiation Producing Machines. This link takes you to the training page specific to the in-person radiation safety class. At the bottom of the page, there will be a green “Register” link that will take you to the LMS system. Officially register for the class through this LMS system.
Step 2:
Once the training in complete, you will need to be added to the RUA specific to the analytical X-Ray device. Fill out Form 3A-Statement of Experience and send it to the PI/Radiation Contact who is has responsibility for the RUA. The PI or Radiation Contact can then use this guide to add you onto the RUA.
- X-Ray Safety Training Refresher (Analytical Equipment)

Refresher training for Analytical X-Ray equipment use due once every three years after completing the initial X-Ray Safety Training. This link takes you to the training page specific to the in-person radiation safety class. At the bottom of the page, there will be a green “Register” link that will take you to the LMS system. Officially register for the class through this LMS system.
- X-Ray Safety Training (Diagnostic Equipment)

Step 1:
Complete the Diagnostic X-Ray exam. This link takes you to the training page specific to the online radiation safety class. At the bottom of the page, there will be a green “Register” link that will take you to the LMS system. Officially register for the class through this LMS system.
Step 2:
Once the training in complete, you will need to be added to the RUA specific to the analytical X-Ray device. Fill out Form 3A-Statement of Experience and send it to the PI/Radiation Contact who is has responsibility for the RUA.
