Virtual Physical Activity Challenge

Journey with us around the world without ever having to leave your hometown.

The virtual physical activity challenge utilizes the Be Well** platform, an app-based physical activity platform that records your steps and up to 91 forms of physical activity from walking to aerobics, tai chi, ping pong, and so much more! When you sync or manually enter your activities and steps to your account, your entries move you and your team move closer to the finish line! 


Rome to Paris 

Join us on an adventure that will take you from Rome, Italy to Paris, France. Your journey will explore some amazing locations with beautiful architecture and ancient history. You’ll start at the awe-inspiring Colosseum, stop off in Monte Carlo in Monaco, and keep moving until you reach the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Along the way, you’ll see a variety of famous landmarks. It’s time for a European adventure. Bon Voyage!

Challenge dates: Monday, September 9th to Friday, October 18th. 

Two Challenge Options: 

  • 8,000 steps per day Team Challenge
  • 8,000 steps per day Individual Challenge

Important Update

Recently, Walker Tracker has transitioned to the Terryberry Be Well platform.

  • For desktop access: The website still remains hosted at ucdavis.walkertracker.com.
  • For app access:
    • New users should search "Terryberry Be Well" in your app store
    • Returning users may still have the Walker Tracker app installed. You may have seen it automatically update to the Terryberry Be Well platform. If not, please apply app updates as needed. You will likely need to sign in again using your previous credentials.
  • For support: The website still remains hosted at ucdavis.walkertracker.com. You may find that Help Articles still reference the Walker Tracker platform. Support may be requested via email at support@walkertracker.com.

Helpful Tips and Resources

Forming a Team: Instructions on how to form a team can be found through this link. We recommend teams of 4-10 participants. Teams with at least 4 participants will be eligible for prizes as team totals are calculated as an average, not a sum. Once you register or log in, you will be able to choose the challenges you wish to participate in.

Connecting an activity tracking device: The Be Well platform connects to several compatible devices and apps (PDF) including Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin and more. If you do not have a device or app, no problem! You can add walking steps manually or convert your physical activities to steps.

Adding activity data: If you have an activity tracking device, please be mindful of not re-adding activities that are likely tracked with your device. For example, if you play soccer or tennis while wearing your device, please do not also manually add this as an activity. This is double dipping and not fair to the competition. Please only enter in activities that aren't tracked by your device.

The Be Well Physical Activity Challenge is open to UC Davis staff, faculty and student employees. Please note – if you participated in our last challenge, but did not complete the evaluation, you will need to re-register.
