Course duration estimate: 45 mins

This 45 minute course provides information to help minimize serious health risks to persons who may have personal exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials in the workplace. Course objectives include:

  • Understanding the basics of bloodborne pathogens.
  • Identifying common modes of transmission.
  • Identifying methods of prevention.

**PLEASE NOTE: The Learning Management System (LMS), where trainings are housed, is set up for employees. If you are a student or visiting scholar, you must request access to the system before you can complete your training. Please email hr-learning@ucdavis.edu to request access to the system.

This course is required to be taken once every 3 years with review of the laboratory-specific BBP Exposure Control Plan, and retraining is required annually by using the unit-specific BBP Exposure Control Plan.
