This instructor-led course is a basic review of the general safety requirements when using and working around lift gates. Detailed training requires reviewing the lift gate manufacturer’s owner manual and safety precautions. The training covers the basic components of a lift gate and safe actions to follow as well as unsafe practices to avoid when using the lift gate. Course objectives include:

• Safe operation of the lift.
• Handling and positioning loads.
• Dock loading procedures.
• General injury prevention when using lift gates.
