Radiation Safety for User of Radiation Producing Machines has replaced the Instructor Lead Analytical X-ray training course. The course is for personnel operating Analytical X-ray equipment only.
This 45-minute course is required for employees who will be using radiation producing machines. The course must be taken before the employee begins using the equipment, and is intended to provide general awareness of radiation safety fundamentals, and policies and procedures associated with the use of analytical x-ray equipment. Course objectives include:
- Becoming acquainted with the area of radiation physics.
- Discussing the fundamentals of radiation safety and universal safe work practices.
- Reviewing the use and general safety procedures associated with analytical x-ray equipment.
**PLEASE NOTE: The Learning Management System (LMS), where trainings are housed, is set up for employees. If you are a student or visiting scholar, you must request access to the system before you can complete your training. Please email hr-learning@ucdavis.edu to request access to the system.
