This 45 minute course is required for anyone who uses a biological safety cabinet for any type of work with infectious agents (human, animal, or plant), human and non-human primate cell culture, or tissues potentially contaminated with any type of infectious agent. Course objectives include:
- Understanding how biological safety cabinets protect the user, the environment, and the work materials from contamination.
- Understanding how easily protection can be compromised.
- Demonstrating best practices for working in a biological safety cabinet.
