Why did you become a wellness ambassador?

I became a Wellness Ambassador to learn and give back to my team.
 

How long have you been a wellness ambassador?

I've been a Wellness Ambassador for about 2 years.

 

What has been the most rewarding or positive part about your experience thus far?

Our mini grant activities brought our team together. It helped inspire ongoing activities and get leadership involved.
 

What are some challenges you face as a wellness ambassador?

Finding time and space for our team to do activities.
 

What is one piece of advice you would like to share with new wellness ambassadors?

Apply for a mini grant and get your team involved! Check out the archive to get ideas and then poll your team. Don’t be afraid to change course and expand on your idea.
 

Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being aims to build an environment that makes the healthier choice the easier one, while providing staff and faculty with the required support to make UC Davis the healthiest community. How do you feel you have contributed to our mission?

I have tried to be creative in adding fun wellness activities that are ongoing and are easy to maintain.
 

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

Drink tea, read, clean and organize
