Vessel Charters

Departments and University employees who wish to charter boats on behalf of the University must work with Contracting Services to arrange all charters. 

Insurance for boat or vessel charters is not automatic and the campus must provide notice to the insurance company to have coverage. Submit advance notice of the charter to Risk Management via rms@ucdavis.edu.

Additionally, you must comply with the boating safety practices as outlined by 290-82, Boating Safety and supported by the Boating Safety Program.
