- Read a book or online article suggested by the Women’s Resources and Research Center.
- Get directly involved with an Employee Resource Group
- Add your pronouns to Zoom, so they show up next to your name. Go to the Zoom website, open your profile, and edit your last name.
- Follow UCOP guidelines for making your Zoom meetings and trainings more accessible.
- Let participants know that they can request accommodations in advance.
- Change your Zoom host settings to allow meeting participants to request closed captions during a meeting.
- If you host meetings over Zoom, enable closed captions before the meeting starts. If you give presentations in person, consider using automated closed captions in PowerPoint.
- Take a bystander intervention training to learn how to help when somebody is being targeted for racial or gender-based harassment.
- Become familiar with resources for preventing and reporting harassment and discrimination, through HDAPP. Learn how to report hate and bias.
