UC Davis Fire Prevention Services provides guidance and inspections for special events on campus, including athletic events, concerts and large gatherings such as Picnic Day.
In accordance with the California Fire Code Chapter 4 Emergency Planning, the Events Emergency Response Plan establishes a foundation for emergency response during special events on UC Davis.
It is designed to establish a framework to respond effectively and safely to an emergency. This includes assessing an emergency situation, coordinating a response effort and most importantly, that individuals are informed, safely evacuated or sheltered and accounted for with reasonable accuracy. The Event Emergency Response Plan has been integrated into the Special Events Permit Form.
