**PLEASE NOTE: The Learning Management Systen (LMS), where trainings are housed, is set up for employees. If you are a student or visiting scholar, you must request access to the system before you can complete your training. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request access to the system.
This course will provide you with a basic understanding of bloodborne pathogens, common modes of transmission, methods of prevention, and what to do if an exposure occurs. Information presented will help minimize serious health risks to persons who may have personal exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials in the workplace.
The online module should be completed every three years. Annually, read your unit-specific Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan (BBP ECP) and document that in your training records. Your BUA (in BIO) will need to be manually updated if your training was refreshed by reading your unit-specific BBP ECP.
