Description: This course is required for all Principal Investigators and Co-PIs whose research involves recombinant DNA research subject to the NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant DNA Molecules. Goals: To inform investigators regarding their responsibilities as outlined in the NIH Guidelines. To explain the basics of the Biological Use Authorization process. Objectives: Provide an overview of the PI responsibilities as detailed in the NIH Guidelines. Review the Biological Use Authorization and authorization amendment process for recombinant DNA research.
Required for Principal Investigators who plan to work with recombinant DNA.
