Lab Safety for Support Personnel

This 45 minute course is intended for individuals who may enter a laboratory to provide a support function, but do not routinely work in a laboratory, in order to describe the hazards they may encounter and how to recognize them as required by 8CCR §3203. The content in this course is designed to comply with regulatory requirements. Course objectives include:
- Understanding laboratory hazards, including physical, chemical, radiological, biological, laser, and animal hazards.
- Identifying proper PPE for entering a laboratory.
- Identifying safe work practices for the laboratory.
- Understanding laboratory security and emergencies in the laboratory.
Required for unescorted individuals who may enter a laboratory to provide a support function, but do not routinely work in a laboratory.
