**PLEASE NOTE: The Learning Management Systen (LMS), where trainings are housed, is set up for employees. If you are a student or visiting scholar, you must request access to the system before you can complete your training. Please email sdps@ucdavis.edu to request access to the system.

This 3 hour course covers practical handling, restraint, gavage, injection, and blood collection techniques commonly used with laboratory mice. The instructor-led Mouse Handling course is available upon request. Course objectives include:

  • Identifying proper handling techniques for the mouse.
  • Understanding proper laboratory behavior while handling mice.
  • Identifying the proper PPE that should be worn while working with mice.

ACU101 class and Lab Animal Skills Video must be completed before taking Mouse Handing.
