Campus Veterinarian Policies & Procedures
The Attending Veterinarian is responsible for ensuring that veterinary care is provided to the research and teaching animals at UC Davis. The Attending Veterinarian and Campus Veterinarian are used interchangeably at UC Davis to indicate the same position. Our policies have the heading Attending Veterinarian since that is the regulatory title associated with the position. In order to assure adequate and humane care is provided, the following policies and guidelines have been enacted. The AV is also responsible for the Standards of Care Program that governs husbandry care procedures and intervals.
