Notice to Students enrolled in "199" Classes

If you are a student enrolled in a "199" class that involves work at a campus animal handling facility, you may need a health clearance to screen for diseases such as TB or measles that humans can transmit to animals. If you have any questions about the clearance process, please contact your supervisor for the "199" class.

Please call Cowell Student Health at 752-2300 to schedule an appointment.

If your "199" class involves extensive animal contact (more than just observation), you may need to enroll in the Animal Care & Use Occupational Health Program. If you do, then your supervisor will complete a Risk Assessment form for you online. You will then be notified by email that you need to verify the Risk Assessment and complete the Health Surveillance Questionnaire online.
