Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) When Working with Rodents and Rabbits

 

Policy

Allergies are the primary occupational risk when working with rodents and rabbits. To minimize the potential for allergen exposure, personnel must wear gloves and a laboratory coat or gown when working with animals.

Individual facilities or laboratories may have additional requirements.

Hands should be washed at the completion of animal work.
